Do you create custom designs or corporate gifts?

Mr Fox also designs bespoke items. Our general approach is that anything can be made from good leather if you allow enough time. Most recently, we have made a leather casing for a camera and a knife pouch in collaboration with Mexican chef Eduardo Garcia from Maximo Bistrot and Lalo.

Where are Mr Fox products made?

Mr Fox products are made in Leon, Guanajuato by local artisans fairly remunerated.

What type of leather are Mr Fox products made from?

Mr Fox is proud to only use Mexican leather from the State of Guanajuato. The leather we use is a calibre of 18 to 20 and will become a partition of all your journeys around the world.

How do you recommend to take care of your Mr Fox product?

A good piece of leather should last you a lifetime. However, like most things, you need to show your leather some love. Keep your leather out of the sun in a cool dry place when not in use. Keep it clean by using a damp cloth in order to avoid getting dirt particles into the leather as they can cause abrasion from the inside. Never use soap or cleansers. These types of chemicals can remove the natural oils in the leather used to preserve the material and will cause the leather to dry out, crack, and begin to deteriorate. Stick with water. If your leather happens to get wet, dry slowly at room temperature and never put your leather by a fire, out in the sun, or near a heater. If necessary, dry with cotton or a soft cloth.

Why prices in Mexico are cheaper than outside Mexico?

We want to encourage consumers to buy less but more consciously. We believe that the only way to achieve this objective is by crafting the highest quality products at affordable prices relative to once income base. Mr Fox is Mexican with a strong local client base. Purchasing power in Mexico is currently lower than in Europe or United States and we believe it is fair to adjust prices accordingly.

Yes. It is commonly misunderstood that a PayPal account is needed to make payments through PayPal. All you need is any Debit/Credit card that is supported by PayPal. PayPal is the easiest & most secure way to make payment online. No account needed.

How long will it take for my order to be delivered once payment is processed?

It depends on where you are. If your shipping address is in Mexico you will receive your Mr Fox products in 3 days. If you are somewhere else in the world it can take between a week and 10 days for your product to arrive.

How are the products shipped?

We will send your order via DHL or FedEx depending on your shipping address.

What happens if there’s been a delivery mishap to my order?

We take such matter very seriously and we will look into individual cases thoroughly.

1. In the event of damaged products received, we will require photo proof of the affected products in order for us to investigate and review before a decision is made. Contact us here.

2. In the event of lost mail, we will try to locate the delivery and if there's a clear indication that your order is indeed lost, we'll re-send the order to you at no cost, subject to availability.

How is Mr Fox attempting to make an impact?

Mr. Fox believes in a fashion industry that values people, the creativity and profit in equal measure. Fair remuneration is therefore at the heart of Mr Fox. To be able to, at once, grow the brand internationally and offer fair wages to artisans and employees, Mr Fox founder and captain does not take any salary nor dividends. Salaries to all employees are set to deliver adequate living standards and all excess cash flow is fully dedicated to grow the brand.

From an environmental standpoint, Mr. Fox is aware of the impact that our operations have on the environment and we are exploring avenues to make our operations truly sustainable. This is something that we are actively investigating and we believe that scale will enable us to have better control on how the cattle are raised and how to eliminate toxic chemicals from the dying process.

The most important way however we believe we can make a dent, albeit small, is to create high-quality products that can be used again and again, helping to move us away from our culture’s tendency towards over-consumption. In other words, buy less but buy consciously. When our clients buy a Mr Fox product, we want them to use it over and over and only replaced if our client gave up asking it back from his son, daughter or close relative. Buy less but travel more.

Who is Mr Fox?

Mr Fox was founded by Yohan Powell in 2017 and was born from Yohan’s passion for leather craftsmanship and an insatiable need for exploration. He first travelled to the State of Guanajuato to learn from a local leather craftsman the art and principles that for centuries have enabled this region to become one of the leading leather capitals of the world. Nowadays Mr Fox is a team of passionate people that work hard to make endless companions for your travels ahead.
